Set peacefully by Kwai Noi River, River Kwai Jungle Rafts offers ecologically friendly floating accommodation surrounded by tropical greenery. To enhance the peacefulness and uniqueness of the hotel, rooms that float on a wooden raft use oil lamps and candles instead of electricity.

Featuring walls weaved from local bamboo and decorated with wooden furnishings, each traditional-Mon-house style room comes with a mosquito net and en suite bathroom including free toiletries. Rooms also have an outdoor deck with a sun lounger and hammock. Free bottled waters are provided.

Great location. Feeding the elephant in the morning was good. Area to charge phones etc was provided.

Very friendly staff, especially all the waiters/waitresses. All of them really sweet even. Lovely. Dinner was fantastic but too much: 5 dishes per person, 10 among two persons! (We really advise them to narrow it down because everything could have been shared with just 5 dishes total. We could not finish them all, so a lot of the food got wasted.) Really good place on the river / in the jungle even to wind down, especially after exhaustive traveling to this place. Overall nice experience. Upon check-out time, positively surprised about the free boat ride to our next hotel "HOME PHUTOEY" which turned out to be located just a few minutes away by boat. During planning and preparations for our trip, we weren't sure about how to get from one place to the other in this River Kwai area, as all transportations are really expensive. We really were cracking our brains about this, up until check-out time even! So yeah, super nice to be given free transfer from this hotel to the other. When we got to the "HOME PHUTOEY PIER", a hotel caddy was already there to drive us to the hotel lobby. I think staff from RIVER KWAI JUNGLE RAFTS informed them about our arrival beforehand. Very well organized. THANK YOU everybody!
Yes, we knew beforehand that the only source of light would be kerosene oil lamps. It's mentioned extensively. BUT... the kerosene oil lamps are only placed outside the rooms. Inside the room was simply too dark after 6PM. 1 or 2 battery operated lamps would really make this experience way better, just for practical use like showering above the toilet with SOME light. Now, you have to literally TOUCH your way around the room in the evening. Also, the bed and duvet were damp from the humidity. Not so nice to climb into.
